Magical Moments at Hillside Vineyard: Leif & Laurel’s Rainy-Day Wedding

Weddings are full of unexpected moments, and sometimes, Mother Nature has her own plans. I had the honor of second shooting Leif and Laurel’s wedding at Hillside Vineyard in Fort Collins, and it was a beautiful reminder that magical photos can happen—even on a cloudy, rainy day.

The entire day had a soft, ethereal vibe thanks to the overcast skies. The light was diffused perfectly, creating a romantic, dreamy atmosphere for the couple’s portraits. Leif and Laurel were natural in front of the camera, and their love truly shone through every moment—proving that a little rain can’t dampen joy or connection.

One of my favorite moments of the day was during the couples’ portraits. With some creative Photoshop magic, I was able to bring the sun into one particular shot, giving the image a warm, golden glow that perfectly captured the mood and emotion of the moment.
