This session was so very important to me because it was the first time I ever got to shoot in the city I grew up so close to. Chicago is such a magical city and getting the opportunity to do what I love there was incredible but this couple made it even better.
We started this session off at North Avenue Beach right around sunset. The clouds were heavy that night but that did not stop us from creating the gallery of their dreams. I don't know if there is anything more romantic than running around the beach and the city with the love of your life. Every moment from this part of our session felt straight out of a movie.
We took a bus from North Avenue Beach to the famous Chicago Riverwalk. Despite being later in the evening on a Monday night the city was packed with people. We went with the flow and found spots that worked for us as we explored.
I think this session really brought out the love between these two and it made for some beautiful, cinematic, and romantic photos. Curating this gallery was so fun for me because of all of the different pieces we captured that added to the story.
So thank you, Zoe and Duncan, for letting me into your world for a little while. For trusting me to hold space for you. For being real.
